THE SECOND TIME

shasha_hp.jpg Actually the first time it happened, my youngest princess came to me with the device in her hand, saying “Dad, it’s broken”. In any case we got that sorted out with a visit to the HP Service Centre in Kuala Lumpur, not forgetting the RM400.00 that I had to pay.

Then sometime in August 2006 I found the screen had cracked again. This time I was very sure that nothing out of the ordinary had happened, as the phone was with me all day in the office. Upon a close scrutiny I found the screen had cracked in a sort of “V” shape. Well, this really got me in a fine mood. Suddenly I was  getting pretty much fed-up with my HP, and thoughts of Dopod, O2 and other new Pocket PCs came to mind.

LET’S GET CRACKING!

Welcome to ScreenGames.

This is a simple journal of my experiences with my first pocket PC - the HP iPAQ 6365 model. I really loved that brilliant mobile communications hardware, and my kids loved all the interactive games they could play on it. So much so that even I was tempted to start playing those addictive games.

Then one day the screen (LCD panel) cracked all by itself. When this happened in March 2006 I thought someone in the family may have had an accident with it or something. Yes, you bet the kids got an earful from me. Anyway I finally got it repaired at the HP Service Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for RM400 (about USD109).

Any of you people out there have had similar experiences with any of the HP pocket PC models, come share your story with us.
